The Cutting Standard makes thick, edge-grain butcher-block style cutting boards from solid hard maple, by hand, right here in Crown Point, Indiana.
Every piece is handmade with care and pride. Each board carries our branded script logo and sits on black rubber feet, so it stays put on the counter. These are boards meant to be used every day and handed down.

The Boards
Care
Use warm water and mild soap. Never soak it and never put it in the dishwasher.
Towel dry, then stand it on edge to air dry so both sides breathe.
Apply food-safe mineral oil or board butter whenever the wood looks dry. Let it soak in overnight, then wipe off the excess.
Keep it away from standing water, heat and direct sun. Skip bleach and harsh cleaners.
